Richard Janicek made it possible to use the VICE emulator online. This emulator makes use of JavaScript and needs a modern browser such as Firefox 28 or Chrome 33. For the future Richard has planned: joystick and gamepad support, adding another computer (VIC-20) and making this emulator work with IE.
