Shorten is a fast, low complexity waveform coder (i.e. audio compressor), originally written by Tony Robinson at SoftSound. It can operate in both lossy and lossless modes. Thanks to Michel 'DMX' Bagmeijer for his port to AmigaOS, m68k and WarpOS.
