Syso4 made a successful FPGA implementation in VHDL of the Commodore Sound Interface Device Chip (SID). The FPGA development board he uses is a CyberCortex AV with an Xilinx Spartan 3E 500k gate FPGA and a 1-bit DAC with a passive RC-filter. The program that sends the data to the FPGA is ACID 64 by Wilfred Bos and the music is from Welle:Erdball.
