Lars Pontoppidan announced the MMC2IEC device. This simulates a 1541 drive and enables loading and saving programs to MMC or SD flash media. FAT16 and FAT32 is supported, and directory navigation is possible with LOAD"xxx",8 commands. The hardware is based on Atmel AVR, and is simple to make.
