Silverdr is "reloading" Project 64. Project 64 is an attempt to archive all important documentation for the Commodore C64. Silverdr moved the project to Github. TOSEC has been updated. TOSEC, or The Old School Emulation Center, is a group of people dedicated to the preservation of games and other programs for home computer and console systems. In this update: 19 new, 369 updated and 1 removed.

Vicious has made and expansion card for the Apple I with an Commodore C64 SID chip. The card also has a CIA chip (timers / joystick) and a ROM with firmware for the Vicious SID Player. The card can use the 6581 and 8580 SID. The Vicious Sid Player is able play many of the tunes created for Commodore 64 environment, but not all.

Shane from cbm8bit.com has updated the The SuperCPU Home web page. On this web page you can find information on the 20 MHz accelerator for the Commodore C64 / C128. The SuperCPU was developed by the company Creative Micro Designs, Inc (CMD) in 1996. The SuperCPU has an W65C816S CPU @ 20 MHz, and can support up to 16 MBytes of RAM. Jürgen Wothke released the TinyJSid. This is an experimental JavaScript / HTML5 version of Tiny'R'Sid. You need a modern browser such as Chrome or Firefox to use this player. With the help of JavaScript and HTML5 the Commodore C64 is emulated , and plays an original *.sid file.

Project Unity is a project to build one system with many game consoles inside. The system will have 20 game consoles, but only one power supply, one video output and one game controller.
At the moment the following game consoles are integrated: Amiga CD32, Sega SMS, Nintendo NES, Mattel Intellivision, Nintendo GameCube, Philips CDi, and Playstation 2.
And there are plans to include the following systems: SNK NeoGeo, Sega MegaDrive, Amstrad GX4000, Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, Sega DreamCast, ColecoVision, Nintendo SNES, NEC TurboGrafx/PC Engine, Atari 7800 and the Atari Jaguar.

A new, never released game, was found for the Commodore C64. Richard Bayliss was checking a couple of diskettes from Paul Hughes and found a source code file named "Defender 2". The game is a conversion of the Sinclair Spectrum game, Subterranean Stryker. The game was in the early staged of development and was never finished.
