The Assassins released a brand new demo for the Plus/4. This shows again that the 264 can do a real demo too. It's a 12 part demo with graphics by Luca, Code by Skoro. Also Harry, KiCHY and RRR put in a bit of graphics. If you want to listen to the music you will have to install a SID card.

Absence+Wilds are making a new game for the Plus/4. No code, graphics or music had been stolen from other systems: Bomberman boasts neat code that moves up to 4 players with smart AI, original arcade-ish graphics and, last but not least, a secret musician! You can follow the final steps of this cool project on the official Absence+Wilds homepage. They also have a promo video of their new game that you can download.

Mike Dailly and Luca Carrafiello are working on the ultimate shoot'em'up game running on the glorious Commodore Plus/4. They have made a teaser that you can download. Making a game on a Plus/4 has limitation, there are no hardware sprites like on the C64 and the Amiga's. You can read all about the game on the web site.

In the new version of the Plus/4 emulator Yape there is a new addition. The Toshiba 6721 speech integrated circuit has been emulated. This means that Yape is now a V364 emulator as well. The difference between a normal Plus/4 and the prototype V364 is a bigger keyboard and the speech capabilities. Another feature is the performance mode for very slow PCs. In this mode the speed is up by about 3 times but true drive emulation is turned off and the TED is not 100% accurate. Download the latest version from the web site.

New music demo for the 264 series of Commodore computers. 4-Mat made a music pack with lots of color and a massive seven TED tunes Along with the note file, the source code for the music driver and some documentation for it have been included in the archive so that people can,we hope, get a few ideas or perhaps use it to produce their own TED tunes.

New version of Yape is out, with a handful of new features and a usual bunch of bugfixes. A long requested feature, symbolic keymapping, has been added this time. Disk write support for 1581 emulation. Save screenshots as GIF (now default). Fixed a sync problem on dual core AMD based machines. Fixed a glitch in decimal mode of ARR. Fixed a memory corruption when loading a D64 as PRG.

A new version of YAPE the well known emulator for the 264 series of Commodore computers is released. This is basically a bugfix release, a lot of regression bugs have been fixed. Fixed IRQ delay bug of CPU after SEI instruction. Fixed a regression crash on certain TAP files. Fixed sound delay when recording to AVI. And many small bug fixes.

They have re-organized the Publications section of the website, you can find it under the "Information banner". Chris from the commodore16.com website has announced the start of GameBase 264. Gamebase is a Windows based FrontEnd for the emulators CCS64 and VICE on the PC. It's purpose is to make a database of 264 games and SID tunes. And make them readily available to play in the emulator of your choice by just clicking on the game name.

The C64 was Commodore biggest seller but there are other models as well. A bit different group are the C16 - C116 -Plus/4. On the website www.commodore16.com this group of Commodore computers are presented in a big way. You can download games, read games reviewes a busy forum and lots more. The SID (music chip from the C64) is very popular. At the moment an SID cartrigde is being develloped for the Plus/4. You can sign up for a newsletter on the website.
