Senbei Norimaki created blink65, a small C library for cc65 that brings an Arduino-style API to Commodore machines (currently VIC20, C64, and PET). The idea is not to emulate Arduino, but to provide a familiar abstraction layer for quick hardware experiments on real Commodore machines.

preframr (Predicting Register Encoded Frames Rendered As Musical Results) is an experimental small language model that predicts SID music from sequences of SID chip register calls intercepted in an emulator. This example output was predicted from an overfitted model trained with a small dataset including Goto80's CBM_85.

Phosphor is a SID player for macOS, Windows and Linux, developed by Marcin Spoczynski. It supports playback via multiple engines: USBSID-Pico hardware, software emulation, Ultimate II+ cartridges and Commodore Ultimate 64 (network playback).

Rostochek released a C64 style software renderer called Pommidore64. The program supports .OBJ model import and runs fully offline in the browser. It mimics C64 style 3D rendering with multiple modes (solid, wireframe) and several dithering options. It is also capable of rendering images.
