The Amiga Explorer networking software makes it possible to access the resources of an Amiga computer from a Windows system. You can transfer data like a ADF to and from an Amiga and lots more. Thomas Wenzel released an update of AmigaAMP. AmigaAMP is a powerful realtime MPEG audio player for Amiga computers. It can do realtime decoding on 50 MHz processors and up. There are versions for the classic m68k Amigas or Amiga emulators and for MorphOS and Amiga OS4.

Potrace is a utility for tracing a bitmap, which means, transforming a bitmap into a smooth, scalable image. The input is a bitmap (PBM, PGM, PPM, or BMP format), and the default output is an encapsulated PostScript file (EPS). A typical use is to "create" EPS files from scanned data, such as company or university logos, handwritten notes, etc. The resulting image is not "jaggy" like a bitmap, but smooth. It can then be rendered at any resolution. The program is available for Amiga OS4, Linux and Windows.

The AfA OS Project was started in November 2005 by Bernd Roesch. The goal of AfA OS is to bring modern features like Antialiasing (AA) to the AmigaOS since there is no further development for the 68k AmigaOS since OS3.9. The MorphOS Team announced that the next public release of MorphOS will support the EFIKA. MorphOS is a lightweight and flexible operating system and EFIKA is a low-power and silent miniature mainboard based on the Freescale PPC5200.

NetBSD/amiga is the port of NetBSD to the Amiga line computers. Development activity on NetBSD/amiga continues at a speed dependent on people's spare time. Currently, NetBSD/amiga runs on a Amiga that has a Motorola 68020 or better CPU with some form of MMU. For the Amiga's that don't have a MMU you will have to a CPU board on them to run NetBSD.

Algorithm (Naveed Khugiani) made a new program that will convert pictures in the Hi-Fli mode of the C64. To get a perfect conversion most settings can be set by the user. This program can be used on a Windows computer.

This is the normal C64-basic extended with DTV-specific features and a RAM-disk. The basic makes use of banking techniques so that the extended features doesn't use any extra memory in the "normal" memory range. There are a couple of new features available for AROS users. Hogne Titlestad has released Lunapaint v0.2 for i386/AROS. The app can save and open projects, make animations and export images. Mathias Roslund has ported the famous Commodore 8-bit computers line emulator VICE to all Amiga platforms, AROS included. Tomasz Wiszkowski has ported FryingPan and CoFEE to AROS.

Leif Salomonsson released an improved version of his Compiler. He fixed some bugs and added a couple of new features. This compiler can be used with a 68000, AmigaOS V37+ and 2 MB memory. The output is 68020 (+68881 if using floats) AmigaOS V37, or PPC MorphOS.

Amiga inc. announced the kickstart 3.9 ROM's but they never released them. Now a couple of Amiga diehards have done it themselves. They made the ROM with 3.9. There is a sample video with a A1000 !!! running kick 3.9 you can download. Also pictures of a A1200, A3000 and a A4000.
